Clayton is home to some of the world’s largest companies (Grifols, Novo Nordisk, Caterpillar, and more). Strategically located less than 20 miles from Raleigh, 30 miles from the RDU airport, and 33 miles from the Research Triangle Park, Clayton, NC is in western Johnston County (part of the Research Triangle Region) with close proximity to I-40, US 70, NC 42, and the future I-540 and I-42. Clayton is also close to both North Carolina beaches and mountains and sits on the Mountains-to-Sea Trail. This document is an expansion of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce’s Mission Statement; a document also known as the CCOC initiatives agenda. This document allows our businesses and community to be aware of CCOC’s stance regarding any initiatives related to those detailed in the document such as economic development and sustainability, workforce development, education, and quality of life. As an expansion of CCOC’s advocacy efforts, this neutral document is available for use by our investors, but is not to be considered in support of any specific project at this time. This document is a way to responsibly measure the level of growth we have here in Clayton.
